Want to join the LUPB?

The Highland Dance Troupe represents one of the largest units of the LUPB!  This is a fun group of people who look to enjoy a social atmosphere, exercise and to learn (or improve) the art of highland dancing.

Are you an experienced danced?  Come on out!  Are you new?  The LUPB offers free beginner instruction for anyone interested in learning to highland dance.

There's no formal examination or skill level required to join.  The troupe works on all standard Highland and National dances (as well as a few choreographed pieces).

Practice times are Sundays from 7:00 - 9:00 PM (same as the rest of the band).  They are subject to change depending on dancer availability.  They're broken into:

  • warm up
  • run through known material with the band
  • new steps and dances
  • cool down
